CitizenSuccess / Sources & coverage October 2026 edition
A DIRECTORY YOU CAN QUESTION

Good information
starts with clear sources.

CitizenSuccess makes public officeholder data easier to explore, with its limits kept in view.

Two snapshots. Clearly distinguished.

This directory contains 48,964 officeholder records, 48,833 people, 43,146 offices, and 25,273 jurisdictions from the existing CitizenSuccess project.

October 25, 2026 · 8,972 verified records

Records marked verified in the source dataset cover national executives, Congress, governors, statewide executives, state legislatures, state high courts, the DC government, and some mayors. “Verified” describes the dataset’s recorded status as of that date; it does not mean continuous monitoring.

June 11, 2024 · 39,992 unverified records

Much of the county, municipal, judicial district, special district, and school board coverage comes from the CitizenSuccess historical snapshot. These records are not verified for 2026. Contacts, parties, vacancies, and officeholders may have changed.

What this directory can tell you

Search by name, office title, or jurisdiction; narrow by state and government tier; and follow a profile to its office and original source. Counts refer to records in this dataset, not a complete census of all U.S. offices.

A person may hold more than one office, so officeholder records and unique people have different totals. Missing records do not establish a vacancy. This directory does not map a street address to electoral districts.

Party labels and term dates are reproduced from the source. A missing date is shown as “Not recorded,” and older data always retains its snapshot status.
