Roger Wayne Marshall was born on August 9, 1960. Marshall is an American politician and physician. He is a member of the Republican Party. Marshall was born in El Dorado, Kansas, in a farming family.
He received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Kansas State University. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas. In 1998, Marshall and eight other doctors opened Great Bend Regional Medical Center in Great Bend, Kansas.
A September 2026 New York Times report said Marshall charged patients 18% annual interest on medical debt. Marshall called the report a "hit job". His spokesperson said the firm used standard billing and collection procedures. Marshall served seven years in the United States Army Reserve and reached the rank of captain.
On August 2, 2016, Marshall defeated Tim Huelskamp in the Republican primary for Kansas's 1st congressional district. Paul Ryan swore Marshall into the House of Representatives on January 3, 2017. Marshall won the 2020 Senate general election against Barbara Bollier, 53% to 42%. He took office on January 3, 2021.
