Laurie Jinkins is a Tacoma, Washington attorney and public health official who serves in the Washington House of Representatives from the 27th district. After law school, she worked as an assistant attorney general in Tacoma, then joined the Washington State Department of Health in 1995. Jinkins earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1990. Jinkins has served as Speaker of the House since January 2020.
